In the picturesque medieval village of Volterra, just a short distance from the renowned Piazza dei Priori, we present for sale CASA BELFORTE, a bright apartment located on the second and third floors of a two-family building.
A recently renovated staircase leads to the home, which spans a total area of 140 sqm, complemented by an additional 50 sqm attic, partially usable.
Casa Belforte on the first floor consists of a living room from which there is access to the kitchen with a window that, like a painting, frames the striking view overlooking the gardens and vegetable gardens.
A corridor leads to the sleeping area consisting of 3 large and bright bedrooms overlooking the historic center, a large and bright bathroom with shower and small tub, a laundry area appropriately screened, a storage room and a boiler room.
The upper floor, on the other hand, consists of a single large living / study room of about 45 sqm with small bathroom that can easily be converted into a studio apartment as it also has water and drainage. At this level the house features a large full-wall window with beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding valleys.
Given its central location in the renowned medieval village of Volterra, within walking distance of all main services, Casa Belforte lends itself easily to be transformed also into accommodation.
Volterra is a village built on a hill and with its double walls, both Etruscan and from the thirteenth-century, it’s a medieval-looking city. Volterra is rich in artistic heritage that can be admired while walking through the streets of the historic center and visiting the city’s museums which include the Etruscan museum, the Pinacoteca, the Museum of Sacred Art or the Eco-museum of Alabaster.
In the heart of the city we find important examples of local medieval architecture such as the “Palazzo dei Priori” built in 1208.
Moreover Volterra is renowned for the Marzuolo Truffle Market Exhibition and for the rustic and genuine cuisine based on local tradition.
